by Deanna Therriault

She is bruised, battered. Wounded. The hair as an extension of the nervous system represents the enormity of her pain it reaching out, projecting. Her nudity represents her vulnerability and fragility. Those roots beneath her attempt to ground but they aren’t tap roots, they’re fragile and vulnerable like her. Again, a deconstructed medicine wheel to call attention to those teachings. Remember your teachings, your humility and humanity.
